Moscow gears up for significant special operation directed at Poland
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is launching a major special information and psychological operation aimed at destabilising Poland on the eve of the presidential election’s second round.
According to Ukrainian intelligence services, the operation has the codename "Double" and seeks to interfere with the elections, discredit the government, and destabilise Polish society by means of fake media outlets
The GUR claims that Russian intelligence agencies are creating websites and social media accounts that outwardly mimic genuine Western media. These platforms spread disinformation disguised as news to deceive users and manipulate public opinion.
The operation is most active on X: thousands of bots post similar messages, creating the illusion of widespread discontent. Russian propaganda reportedly focuses on four main themes:
Poland is helping Ukraine in vain, the European Union is harming the country, Donald Tusk is a puppet of the United States, and Ukrainians are destabilising Poland from within.
