Iran: We are considering the US response to our proposal

The United States has responded to the latest proposal from Tehran to end the war, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Iranian officials were currently reviewing this response, Iranian media reported on Sunday.

Baqaei also said that Iran's 14-point plan for ending the war does not include any nuclear issues, according to the Fars news agency.

Iran's nuclear programme and the uranium enriched in the Islamic Republic have long been one of the central points of contention in the tensions with the United States.

According to reports, Tehran only wants to address this issue at a later stage.

On Friday, it emerged that Iran had handed over a new proposal to the mediators in Pakistan. This was reported by the state news agency IRNA, without going into detail.

US President Donald Trump on Saturday said he will review a plan submitted by Iran to end the war.

"I will soon be reviewing the plan that Iran has just sent to us, but can't imagine that it would be acceptable in that they have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity, and the World, over the last 47 years," he wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Iran and the US have so far failed to reach a consensus on any of the proposals submitted by one side to the other.
